In the beginning, Lord Frith in all his radiant glory made life with which all animals of today are descended from. Wolf, Deer, Mouse, and many more. The most stunning of all being the Rabbit.

Eligarth, the mother of all rabbits, boasted antlers of gold, and wings that were said to stretch across hills. Above all Frith's council, she held his favor and for it she was gifted great magic. Despite such a gift, Eligarth was regarded for her humility for she treasured above all, her friend with the little Mice and meek Weasel.

The three shared marigold and flies, always spent their afternoons napping in the others' arms. With time their children, and those children's own would carry the same bond.

The First Murder

These were times of great peace, though they would not last forever. A dark spirit lurks in Frith's garden. It is not known how it came to be, but it's name strikes fear in the heart of many...

Relrel is a silent sickness, the first sign of his presence would be felt upon the day Mother Deer was found dead. Never had the animals witnessed violence upon one another, but that day they would discover Murder. As they followed the viscera, they would find Deer's carcass at the paws of Wolf, half-eaten.

Corrupted by Relrel, Wolf's blunt teeth turned knife sharp. Her doe eyes no longer sweetly settled upon the sides of her face, but shifted frontward, thin with hate. No longer could grass satisfy her hunger.

Try as they might to subdue her murderer, Deer would never find justice. Relrel would appear in the chase, taking the form of a fox and tricking the animals into following him. Wolf would escape and Relrel's influence would soon turn her own children. Then beyond. Many animals soon fell to the spirit's influence, eventually becoming known as The Hunt.
